Ouch. Well, beats OT on a weekend.
I work compressed schedule, so I do 9's and take every other Friday off.
I also work OT when I travel (which lately has been almost 1 week/month) but I get paid for it. And I work a lot of OT - usually about 14 hours a day when I’m on a test. When I sit back and think about it, I have a really sweet deal.

previous job i worked 6 days on 4 days off (2 earlies 2 lates 2 nights) pay was great but i didnt know what day of the week it was most of the time
now i work 7 till 4... allegedly
(its usually 7 till 6..but im paid by the hour and overtime is 128% pay so what do i care)
that said i prefered the twice a week overtime 7 till 9 with a free meal thrown in we had up till last week over this lets just tack an hour or two onto every workday crap (its voluntary)
they changed it hoping a bigger crowd would volunteer.... it didnt work.. still the same idiots willing to stay on
